underwhelming stay
acceptable locationpoor soundproofinginadequate lighting
the location was acceptable, close to transport links.
the noise insulation felt almost nonexistent.. i booked a beautiful room, yet i could clearly hear bass-heavy music from the cocktail bar on the eighth floor until late. the king-sized bed was firm, a bit squeaky and the duvet barely covered the mattress width. also, the absence of sufficient lighting options. i'm not sure i would stay here again.

The mattress reminded me of a medieval torture device. I could feel every spring! i complained, but they just shrugged. also, the 'free' coffee tasted suspiciously like dishwater. i suspect they reuse the grounds?!

Acceptable, but far from great
missing bedside tableslow hot water
There was no bedside table on one side of the bed (a completely baffling design choice, honestly). This makes it impossible to charge my phone conveniently. The hot water also took far too long to warm up in the shower. I had to wait over five minutes each morning. (I found this delay particularly annoying.).

the location WAS central. staff members looked young and provided help when needed. complimentary fruit and shortbread were available in the lobby.
the PLACE seeks to project a youthful vibe, however it charges four star prices. my double room seemed kitted out for single occupancy. ONE side of the bed lacked a light and a bedside table.
