really good hospitality

freshly baked cake fruit smoothie clean room
Olive greeted me with tea and freshly baked cake upon my arrival. It was a kind gesture. the breakfast included a fruit smoothie, granola, and fresh yogurt. i ordered a hot breakfast from the menu, and it tasted amazing, the hosts, olive and james, were very polite. i returned to the house later and received tea and cake again. the house was warm, the room was clean.
i had to hold it with my hand to use it, it was not convenient.

Mixed feelings about the stay

working atm awkward shower
Discovering the night before checkout that we needed to pay cash for breakfast added unnecessary stress. Finding a working ATM in the small village was a hassle. The shower was also awkward and difficult to use.

adequate room and breakfast

clean room homemade bread lovely presentation awkward shower privacy absence hotel room
the room was clean. breakfast included homemade bread. the presentation was lovely. it was one of the nicest bed and breakfasts i have stayed in.
the shower was awkward. it was hard to use and had to be held by hand as it wouldn't stay pointed at us. i also did not realize that there would be no way to indicate we wanted our privacy. we always put up a do not disturb sign in hotel rooms.
