The room was clean. but the pillows were TOO hard, i couldn't get a good night's sleep. also, there were no blackout blinds. So much for sleeping in.

I enjoyed the individually prepared full breakfast in the allocated dining room. The steak and ale pie from the hotel was a standout (i loved it!).

I found the breakfast disappointing. It seemed prepared long in advance. Everything felt dry and a bit greasy. The coffee tasted VERY cold and weak. ALSO, the pillows in the bedroom felt quite hard, which affected my sleep.

The staff was very friendly and helpful . The food was delicious. I especially enjoyed the Steak and Ale pie. The gardens were lovely and well-kept, offering a super calm place near a stream.

The hotel decor felt a bit dull. I also noticed the absence of blackout blinds in the bedroom. The bathroom looked somewhat old.

The staff were very great. The residents lounge had games and reading materials. I had dinner on two occasions and enjoyed both meals. I found the food lovely!

The furniture was old. The carpets were old too. I also found the mattresses old.
