friendly staff christmas food luxury toiletries
this hotel had a really kind staff. The christmas party food was really good and breakfast was COOKED fresh. Rooms featured nice luxury toiletries.

fantastic getaway!
friendly staff local produce cosy bar lovely size
I loved the super friendly staff. the food featured delicious local produce. the cozy bar was perfect after a long day exploring. my room had a lovely size!
i noticed a very slight dog smell, it definitely wasn't too much, but it was there. the carpet could definitely benefit from a deep clean. it's still a minor thing in an otherwise great experience!

a lovely embrace in north yorkshire
sunday dinner helpful staff lovely atmosphere
sunday dinner was divine. david was so helpful with everything. the pub had such a lovely atmosphere with a touch of sweetness. the blanketed pigs were a good surprise during dinner, and everything felt so perfect.
parking felt a little difficult because of my mobility scooter. finding a suitable spot took some time, and it caused a bit of stress . i wish there was more accessible parking available.

superior double room large room king size bed comfortable bed first class breakfast great breakfast christmas meal poor meal dense pudding flavourless cream gritty sauce bad sauce
i stayed in a superior double room. it was large and included a king size bed. the breakfast was first class. the service was really good.
the christmas meal menu included pigs in blankets. they came with the children's meal but not the adults. the christmas pudding was very dense and the brandy cream lacked any flavour of brandy. the sticky toffee pudding was dry and the sauce was gritty because the sugar hadn't been mixed properly.

cute staff pleasant staff attention to detail dog lover slow service evening meal bar area missing items
the staff were very pleasant and cute. my room had attention to detail, which i appreciated. i also noticed how well the hotel managed the needs of both dog lovers and non-dog lovers, nice.
during my evening meal, the service felt quite slow. although i had booked in the restaurant, i was initially seated in a bar area. breakfast service was also a bit slow, and my order had some items missing, something i only realised partway through eating.

The hotel is very well placed for visiting the area. It sits right on the market place. I found it easy to wander out to the nearby shops. The staff was very friendly and cute.
the towel rail heat was mediocre, and i would have liked it to be warmer.

mould presence ceiling stains
the location was acceptable, I suppose.
the room was Not clean. i observed mould AND mildew behind the bedhead and stains occupied the ceiling. this created an Unpleasant environment.
