lovely hotel stay
bright room spacious room modern shower room
the room was bright and spacious. the en-suite shower room was modern. free parking was available and wifi access was simple.
the hotel did not have a lift. carrying luggage upstairs involved navigating multiple doors and steps. this made access slightly difficult.

Average stay with some issues
empty shower gel early bar closure
The room was a good size and generally clean.
The bar closed quite early at 9pm, and they did not stock the drink i wanted. I also found the provided shower gel dispenser was empty. These things detracted from the experience.

lovely stay
friendly staff clean room free parking great location
i found the staff very friendly and helpful , they were always available to assist with any questions i had. the room was clean and well-kept with fresh towels provided daily. the free on-site parking was convenient, ensuring i had no trouble finding a space, and the location proved to be a great base for exploring the surrounding area.
The bar and restaurant areas seemed a bit outdated. I felt they could use some updating to match the rest of the hotel's charm.

The hotel offers ample parking, a real convenience arriving by car, i found the gardens beautifully maintained, perfect for a relaxing stroll. breakfast service was efficient. It provided a good start to the day.

The hotel benefits from a convenient location with easy access to nearby attractions. It's only a short drive to hiking trails. the quiet setting allowed for a peaceful retreat, away from city noises. forge valley woods is also easily accessible from this location.

Housekeeping ensured fresh towels daily and maintained a high standard of cleanliness. i found the staff attentive. They handled requests promptly. the duty manager, mike, was very helpful and provided useful information upon arrival.

french fries well maintained grounds comfortable visit
Lunch included salmon sandwiches with cream cheese. French fries accompanied this meal. The grounds appear well maintained. The outdoor tables are nicely spread. The owner seemed very friendly and ensured a comfortable visit.
The bed's mattress felt quite hard.
