a wonderful family stay
spacious room lounge area lovely grounds football garden
I really enjoyed my stay. The family room was spacious for us. a lounge area just outside the room was convenient, and the grounds were lovely to relax in. my son particularly enjoyed playing football in the garden. It was a nice way to spend the afternoon.
the building is beautiful though the room was a little cold upon arrival.

Breakfast included cumbrian sausages. They were a very generous size. i really enjoyed the breakfast, and the options were very good. i would definitely eat them again.

weak shower pressure unreliable wifi
the breakfast was acceptable, it provided a decent start to the day.
the room felt quite dated, the television was small and the selection of channels was limited. the bathroom fittings showed their age, the shower pressure was weak. the promised wifi was patchy and unreliable, it made it difficult to plan my travels.

Really good Hospitality and Beautiful Setting
garden view english breakfast warm welcome spacious grounds
My room had a garden view, I found it very relaxing. The full English breakfast was fabulous, a perfect start to the day. I was welcomed warmly upon arrival. The building has character, it stood in spacious grounds.
I noticed two small creamy marks on the bedding, I think it might have been residue from sweets. I did not like that.

The location allows easy access to Cumbria and the Lakes. It is just off a busy road. I found it very peaceful despite this. The building feels secure.

spacious room pleasant view main road easy access
I appreciated the spacious room and its pleasant view. The hotel is just off a main road, a distance that makes it feel secluded. Access to the west coast of England is easy from this location. I also found it quite close to southwest Scotland, a plus.
The room needed hotter water from the tap, however, the stay was fine.

The family room offered ample space. I appreciated the pleasant view from the window. The premises were just off the main road (very convenient). Breakfast included a cooked option that was delicious.
