The morning provided complimentary coffee. I was happy about this. The gym included modern equipment for a full workout. The staff provided assistance with local attractions. The happy hour included free wine and beer each afternoon.
The valet interaction felt a bit off, I didn't know I was expected to text ahead.

The ABACA restaurant served delicious breakfast. The Ensaymada tasted divine. The Alton Breakfast featured very crunchy potato wedges. The coffee lab offered good Cafe Latte.

Convenient location with nice touches

The location was great! It was within walking distance of Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39. I enjoyed the decor of the hotel. The record player and borrow-a-plant program created a nice atmosphere.
Some faucet handles were not fully secured.

Mixed Feelings About This Hotel
connecting door blackout curtains
The noise was a real issue . My room had a connecting door, and I could hear everything from the adjacent room. It was very disruptive. I didn't sleep well because of street noise. The curtains were not blackout ones, so the headlights bothered me a lot.

vinyl player romantic touch
I adored the vinyl player in the room. It added a romantic touch. The Filipino restaurant, Abaca, was amazing. I wanted to try everything on the menu!!! The location is also very convenient. It is close to Pier 39, which I appreciated.
The hotel allocated $200 per night on my credit card. It seemed excessive.

location good, but service lacking
unhelpful staff small bathroom
the location near fisherman's wharf was convenient. however, the front desk staff was unhelpful. i asked for a luggage rack, but it never arrived. also, the bathroom was small and didn't have enough space for my toiletries. they charged to much on my card and didn't fix it.
