historical charm with minor drawbacks
european hotel fortress wall friendly staff
Breakfast presented a diverse range, suited for a european hotel of its class. Everything seemed well-stocked. the pool area. the fortress wall views, left me impressed. The panorama was really good. the staff consistently displayed friendliness and attentiveness. Greetings were frequent and sincere.

Staff systematically say hello and are friendly. they try to fulfil all needs and always have a smile. This created a very cute atmosphere throughout my visit.

The historical setting close to the center gives convenient access. also motorcycle parking is safe. This allowed for ease of exploration and peace of mind .

Breakfast had plenty to choose from and the restaurant was elegant. It offered good food and service with regional decor. evening meals also offered many options for every guest.

uneven stay
broken bikes no help
the breakfast room had a view that i didn't mind.
The gym was basically unusable. there was a small set of weights, but all the bikes were broken, and the elliptical trainer was clearly meant for home use. Hardly what i expect. also, nobody offered help with my bags when i arrived, and i got yelled at for parking near the door while i checked in, which wasn't ideal.

good selection scenic pool secure storage
breakfast offered a good selection of food and drinks. i found the pool area relaxing and scenic, overlooking the countryside and mountains. the hotel provides secure indoor storage for bikes, a plus for cyclists like me.
the room was a bit dark.

ancient convent medieval class friendly staff
The location was great within the ancient convent grounds. I enjoyed the medieval Portuguese class. It is a short walk to the city center via a draw bridge. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was a little disappointing. The bacon tasted like leather strips. The scrambled eggs were cold.

the breakfast was a little disappointing the bacon was like strips of leather scrambled eggs cold and the restaurant at night was a complete disaster i ordered a large beer and got a small one
