noisy road small bathroom

the location was great, really close to the quay. all requests were handled well.

My room faced the road and it got noisy during the night. Ear plugs became essential. the bathroom was small. i found no space for toiletries or makeup.

The location near the harbor was amazing (a highlight of my trip). Staff were friendly. The garden area provided a tranquil spot. I could sit, relax, and watch passersby.

The kettle was located in a low cupboard.

convenient stay in a central location

central location helpful staff

the location was fantastic, very walkable to many attractions. there were great food options close by. the staff was helpful, especially the restaurant staff who were amazing during breakfast. i had a wonderful stay!

The air conditioning didn't work properly and the room felt stuffy. Sleeping was hard. it reminded me of the room was in a basement, made me a bit claustrophobic.

broken safe poor signage

My stay wasn't flawless, i'll admit. the safe in my room wasn't working. A small detail, but annoying. the lack of clear signage to the breakfast area was also perplexing. I wandered around a bit before finding it. it seems a bit odd for a place with such a high rating.

the hotel sits near george street. it is easy to walk to the opera house from there. marketplace is very close (about 50 meters away!).

empty minibar obscured view

i found a couple of things less than stellar. the minibar was empty upon arrival. i mean, completely barren. also, the promised harbor view from my room was more of a glimpse, mostly obscured by another building. i paid extra for that sliver of water.

The location was perfect, near many places. I appreciated the complimentary left luggage service after checkout, because my flight was later (it allowed me to continue exploring!). The breakfast offered a delicious menu, with plenty of options. The staff were very friendly and helpful, always available to answer my questions.
