the building, garden, and rooms seemed beautiful, clean, and warm to me. the manager was helpful, friendly, efficient and easy to talk to. the chef created really good food, and all guests commented on the amazing selection.
i think they could advise guests that they need to book a taxi a day or two in advance. some of the guests are not familiar with the area, so it would be helpful to know.

I found some issues. Waiting times for food were longer than expected, specifically for desserts, even after a large party had left. Two guests in my party ordered the lemonade battered cod and thought it was not great. The gammon crumble, a special, was too salty (it could use less salt).
