the breakfast choice was acceptable.
The room's heating system made a constant noise, disrupting sleep. the hot water in the shower only ran for a minute at a time. This made showering difficult. towels provided were far too small.

the staff were friendly and efficient, a definite plus.
My room, a standard double room, felt quite tired with stained furniture i could see. the bathroom was a problem. The shower holder was inadequate, so i had to hold it myself, i didn't like that. the toilet seat was plastic and wouldn't stay up properly.

a decent stay
friendly staffvery nice foodheating systemcold room
the staff was friendly and catered to our needs. the owner responded quickly and made sure we were relocated to another room with everything we needed after a slight hiccup. food was very nice and the choice of drinks was vast, for my sister's surprise 30th birthday.
the heating system was not good, especially during the night. it was turned off and the room got cold. i wouldn't write a review normally, but the room wasn't warm enough.

The pub had a good rural charm and offered good food. Breakfast came included with the room. My room was spacious with a large bathroom. Furniture gave the room character. It was in a converted building in the pub yard.
The room lacked sufficient hanging space for clothes. This was inconvenient. The toilet flushing was also problematic. Some fixtures had detached from the walls. Paintwork required some touch-ups to maintain the room's aesthetic.

The premises included a charming bar area. The restaurant's main room had beautiful decor. Fairy lights adorned the beams creating a lovely atmosphere to enjoy throughout their visit.

The staff were amazing and helpful. They were polite and attentive. They always checked if we needed anything. Their service really enhanced our experience .

The rooms were located outside the pub within the grounds. The room was a good size and very clean. I found it easy to relax there before my evening meal. Bottled water orange juice and biscuits were available in the room.

The food was great. I sampled both breakfast and evening meals. There was a good choice of food in the restaurant for dinner. Breakfast was included in the room rate. I would happily return here.

The location is near Highclere Castle. I could reach it within a few minutes by car. Burgh Clere is a small village near the chapel. The chapel is devoted to those who fought in the Salonika Campaign.

the staff gave a friendly welcome. the restaurant offers a varied menu. i started with the king prawn cocktail, it included three prawn types and lemon water for finger cleaning (this is rare!). our mains were the venison steak and calves liver. dessert was chocolate ganache with honeycomb and raspberry.

i enjoyed a pie for dinner with nice mash potato. the restaurant had open doors, a cool feature for the summer. the staff accommodated me in the warmer bar area for dinner. the breakfast was great (especially the full english!).

parking was convenient, right by my front door. the location made visiting highclere castle easy. the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. the garden looked lovely (though i didn't get a chance to really use it).

the boiler made some noise during the night, lasting about 15 minutes each hour. it affected sleep QUALITY.
