adequate, but some issues noted
dust presence cash payment
the location is central, close to main attractions.
cleanliness was not up to par as i found dust and hair from previous guests present. payment by card was not accepted and i was required to pay in cash. i was also charged two euros to store luggage.

basic stay with street noise
the room size was acceptable.
Street noise at night was excessive. It really disrupted my sleep. the lack of soundproofing in the room was noticeable.

sightseeing locations renfe train local foods room lift
I found the location superb. it was close to all sightseeing locations and many restaurants. sol metro is especially near and you can take the renfe suburban train. casa toni restaurant is downstairs. It serves good local foods. a lift accesses all rooms.
street noise was noticeable sometimes.

the location is central. it is very close to shops, restaurants, and the puerta de sol station. the hostal is a short stroll from plaza sol and its many attractions!!!

the twin room was compact. it might be a bit tight if you have large suitcases. the beds are firm. the room also had air conditioning ensuring a comfortable temperature.
