Underwhelming stay. Some issues noted
missing remoteroom temperature
The room was quite cold in the morning. The heating wasn't on when we went for breakfast around 9:30. controlling the room temperature was impossible. The appliances didn't seem to work at all. the tv remote was also missing, so we couldn't even watch tv, frustrating!!!

The receptionist offered a lovely welcome. She easily explained details about the hotel facilities. The general manager showed us to the room to ensure it met my needs. That was a thoughtful touch. The bar had open fireswith a lovely atmosphere.
I stayed during the week and got a call. Staff claimed I smoked in the room and demanded payment for damages. They refused to share photographic evidence of damages. The front desk was not staffed 24 hours. I rang many times to order room service, but there was no answer.

Really good Stay, Attention to Detail

The staff were GREAT from arrival, demonstrating efficiency and warmth. The hotel features beautiful decor that enhances the overall atmosphere. My steak was cooked exactly as requested. Its portion size was adequate. The restaurant served excellent cocktails.
The blind in my room allowed light to shine through early in the morning. This slightly impacted sleep quality.

The hotel has its OWN carpark, offering free parking . There are lovely, big roaring open fires in the bar and restaurant, this creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. The bathroom featured a freestanding bath and a separate walk-in shower.

The receptionist, Therese, gave us the loveliest welcome and explained the facilities clearly. Gemma and Brenda were helpful, providing attentive service. Jamie kept our drinks topped up and maintained a lively atmosphere by tending to the fire.

breakfast had large portions and was very good. the hotel is a minute's walk from the promenade, a great location. the decor is unique throughout the hotel. the staff were excellent at the reception and in the restaurant.

The food in the restaurant was delicious and of a very high standard. A great choice. the hotel also features a bar with an extensive drink list, including several local beers, offering a relaxed environment. breakfast is served fresh at the table.

the room decor was excellent, offering a uniquely designed space with modern amenities. the bed was super comfortable and offered restful nights. the shower had great water pressure.

the staff were helpful, polite, and courteous, even when the restaurant was busy. they were also quick to respond to requests and provided helpful information about the local area. turn down service included lovely chocolates.
