the pre-arrival communications were efficient and very helpful. our room, a beautiful double room, was very clean and well-prepared. i appreciated the beautiful beachside location and direct access to the sand (i really loved waking up to that view!). the staff were friendly and arranged boat trips to explore the other islands.
the wifi signal in our room was sometimes a little weak.

The hotel's location is superb. It is right next to the beach and adjacent to one of the island's quays. The staff members are friendly and helpful. The hotel facilitated boat trips to nearby islands, which proved very convenient.

mixed feelings about the stay

musty roomstale food
the hotel felt somewhat disappointing. the room smelled musty, i think the carpet cleaning wasn't done right. also, the breakfast was quite mediocre, and some of the options seemed stale. i wish i had better experience for what i paid.

the location was excellent, providing access to a wonderfully natural location in the scilly isles.
The room had a nasty smell (i suspect from previous dog occupants). the linen definitely needed replacing. One bath sheet actually had holes in it. the hotel overall is definitely in need of a revamp. It all looks rather tired for the money i paid.
