Khowarib Lodge sits on the banks of the Hoanib River in the stunning Khowarib Gorge, north west Namibia. This strategic location allows access to unique desert landscapes and rich wildlife experiences, including desert-adapted elephants. The lodge serves as a base to explore the surrounding remote areas of Kaokoland and Damaraland.

The lodge includes 14 tented chalets and self-catering units elevated on stilts overlooking the riverbed. Each en-suite unit features rustic open-air bathrooms and a private veranda with views of the cliffs opposite. Family units are available, providing more space for groups traveling together.

Khowarib Lodge offers a restaurant with a fixed three-course menu for dinner, using locally sourced ingredients. Breakfast includes a buffet selection of fresh fruits, cereals, and hot options, ensuring a hearty start to the day. Guests can enjoy meals on the veranda while taking in the panoramic views of the gorge.

The lodge organizes guided tours including Desert Elephant Tracking and Rhino Tracking excursions into the surrounding terrain. Guests can participate in unique experiences such as visiting Himba settlements and rock art excursions, providing cultural insights. Nature walks and drives offer opportunities for sightings of various wildlife and bird species.

Khowarib Lodge includes nine camping pitches along the Hoanib River, complete with electricity and shared ablution facilities. Each campsite features a shade veranda, braai-pitch, and a wash-up area for convenience. Campers have access to the lodge's restaurant, bar, and swimming pool, enhancing the outdoor experience.
