the welcome was very warm and genuine. homemade cake was provided upon arrival. the drawing room had an honesty bar stocked with classy ports and sherries.
the room felt slightly stale upon arrival.

the owners are nice people and very cute. they helped us with our luggage. the staff was very accommodating when we had to catch an early ferry.

the surrounding area had hens donkeys and cows. there is an irish pub down the road. this is a working farm surrounded by fields.

i was staying at a real castle built in the 1500s. the surrounding grounds were beautiful. there is tree lined drive to the castle tower.
