Koompartoo Retreat comprises four luxury timber cabins nestled within tropical rainforest. Each cabin is constructed from local hardwoods and features stained glass bay windows, timber floors, high ceilings, and private verandahs. Three cabins include a freestanding bath and all offer a Queen bed, electric fireplace, and kitchenette.

The hotel is situated on the edge of historic Bellingen, half the distance between Sydney and Brisbane. Guests are only a 10-minute walk to the cafés, restaurants, and shops of Bellingen. The property is surrounded by green rolling hills, valleys, and access to the Pacific beaches.
