The slope in my room was quite annoying. There was a noticeable downhill gradient from the doorway to the window. I understand it is an older hotel, but this impacted my sleep. The smell of cigarette smoke inside was awful. I had to stuff a towel under the door to reduce the smell.

the BREAKFAST offered a good selection of items , and i found the food in the bar quite satisfying. the location is lovely. i appreciated the restaurant and bar being conveniently located. the rooms were COMFORTABLE.
the bathroom was somewhat small , but it had a good shower with adequate water pressure.

The location was scenic enough.
I found the room needing serious updates. The shower barely worked. The breakfast was limited. I saw no fresh fruit and the cooked options looked quite sad. I observed what looked like a general lack of investment in upkeep.

A Warm Highland Retreat

The hotel has a shop and cafe nearby. The breakfast was good, especially the porridge. The room had everything needed for a comfortable stay, and I felt actually surprised by the thoughtful touches throughout.
A minor point. Some of the outside benches showed signs of needing repair.

The room was on the top floor and very clean. The room had everything for a comfortable visit, perfect after a day in the Highlands. It was spacious, well-appointed, and included a seating area with soft cushions and a small table.
