the location was pretty good, i will admit.
the room was not clean. the floorboards needed paint and repairs, i thought. the staff seemed disinterested and barely helpful at check-in, frustrating. i didn't expect such poor service for the price.

Excellent Stay in Historic Building

The location is perfect, close to the riverfront and shopping areas. A full breakfast was provided each morning, and a concierge desk was available. The staff members were friendly and helpful . Wine and cheese were offered each evening, alongside entertainment.
The room lacked a dresser. Only two hangers were available, and plastic cups were provided. These shortcomings made the room slightly less comfortable.

a romantic getaway

the location was central to many places i wished to visit i walked to shops and restaurants the entire stay the historic feel was ever present i enjoyed the civil war artifacts they had on display i found the breakfast to be quite delicious with attentive staff.
the tv in the room only had basic channels i was hoping for app access for streaming i would have liked netflix access or the ability to use hdmi.

our superior king room was immaculate and well-appointed a king-sized bed provided a restful sleep the room included a sitting area with comfortable chairs i could see a historic touch with modern comfort.

the front desk staff was very helpful and friendly they assisted with directions and recommendations the breakfast service was prompt and courteous gloria was especially attentive and made us feel welcomed each morning.

i enjoyed the wine and cheese event in the lobby each evening the evening entertainment was also very nice the library offered comfortable seating and a cozy place to relax it was wonderful.
