adequate, but noisy
uncomfortable bedloud noise
the first night, the bed wasnt great. it made sleeping difficult. the room next to me had a lot of noise. i heard shouting and doors banged all night. it wasn't a good experience because of that noise.

i found the parking convenient. there were complimentary quality toiletries in the room i used. The breakfast featured bacon that impressed me greatly. the hotel location allowed easy access to local attractions while maintaining a quiet atmosphere in evenings.
the shower water pressure was slightly lower than i prefer.

the hotel offers parking on the premises, which allowed me to easily park my car and explore the area WITHOUT worry. i also saw a well-kept garden area providing a calm space. There are easily-accessible vending machines in the lobby for quick snacks and drinks.

the breakfast service starts promptly at 7:30 am . i noted that the dining area includes seating for up to thirty guests. fresh, locally sourced ingredients are used in preparing the meals each day.

the breakfast was acceptable , it provided a decent start to the day.
I found the noise level disruptive. I could hear conversations and movement from adjacent rooms quite clearly. this lack of soundproofing impacted my ability to rest properly. the advertised parking was fully occupied upon my arrival , requiring me to seek alternative parking a distance away. this added inconvenience was not what i anticipated.

uncomfortable bednoisy guests
The bed in the "twin room" felt lumpy. It wasn't a great start. also, some other guests were noisy late one night. i heard doors slamming and raised voices. I found it hard to relax (i'm not sure if it's a regular problem, but it affected my stay). darren did say something about speaking to them, but i was already leaving.

a good escape
really good hoststhoughtful toucheswide selection
jo and darren are really good hosts. my room was the superior superking or twin room 1 and it featured thoughtful touches, like a nespresso coffee maker. breakfast offered a wide selection, and it was always cooked perfectly, i had eggs benedict one morning and it was cooked just right.
the walk to the seafront took slightly longer than expected one afternoon.

the superior superking or twin room 1 featured a large shower and a whirlpool bath. i appreciated the super clean condition and the daily replenishment of refreshments. the room also included biscuits, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, fresh milk, and bottled water, all were a bonus.

Breakfast offered great choices and it was always perfectly cooked. darren's homemade soups were delicious. I particularly enjoyed the tomato soup. dinner was also available. I had the chicken curry one night, and it was a highlight.

The breakfast offered many options. The location has car parking on site. The hosts were helpful with directions. My room included a modern bathroom with a large shower. The room was clean and well-kept throughout my stay.
The bar service was slightly limited on one evening. I wanted a specific drink, however, it wasn't available.
