Solid Golf and Spa Getaway

I stayed for four nights. My room featured a large bed with an additional bed if needed. The room included a tv with coffee and tea making facilities, including biscuits. The golf course on the grounds provided an opportunity for non-members to play. It also had a driving range where I could purchase a bucket of balls.
The limited food menu was disappointing. The tables at the sports bar were not cleaned regularly, and I saw cutlery left on the floor. The breakfast buffet had dried-out food, not appealing (I think fresh cooking would be better).

The staff were cute and politewith a positive first impression. I noticed necessary upgrades happening . The reception helped me upgrade to a twin double beautiful room after I experienced low water pressure.

My triple room was spacious and clean. The hotel has rooms that are being refurbished to upgrade their facilities. I had a twin double beautiful room after an upgrade.

Breakfast offered good quality options, and the sports bar dinner was satisfying. The festive decorations gave the bar a cute feel. The log fire in the bar was especially relaxing (I really enjoyed the atmosphere).

polite staff great food
I found the staff very polite and helpful. The food tasted great and arrived at the table piping hot (a nice surprise!).
The TV was not working . The hotel did not have an HDMI cable, so I could not connect my devices.

The reception staff were cute and quick when I asked for extra pillows. One waitress offered her own tea bags when the hotel's brand was not available. I felt well-cared for .

The room had a large king-sized bed, which I found comfortable. It included a large TV, electric fan, and safe for securing valuables. The room size was adequate for a comfortable stay.

My evening meal in the restaurant was commendable, especially the service. The staff was attentive, and the food was well-prepared. (The Yorkshire tea bags during breakfast were a nice touch.)

an acceptable stay overall
fantastic team hot water pressure boiling hot expensive room
i really enjoyed the gym it included excellent hot water pressure. the breakfast was also good. generally, i found the team fantastic there were gorgeous grounds and views.
i booked a more expensive room it was generally ok. i woke with a headache because it was boiling hot and i found it disappointing. we couldn't see where we could go for a walk in the grounds so we didnt bother in the end, it would have been nice to have some guidance.

fantastic stay!
beautiful ground large room helpful staff
The grounds are beautiful. I especially liked all the green space. the room was large. i found the staff to be friendly and helpful, a real plus! the breakfast was tasty with great options.
i had to wait 45 minutes to check-in because the cleaning services were behind on my room. this was frustrating, as i was keen to unpack.

mixed experience with some issues
breakfast quality spa entrance
The breakfast quality was disappointing. The full english tasted reheated and dry. spa entrance looked worn, and the changing rooms could use a refresh and better upkeep. also, many lockers were not working. a group of teenage boys acted up in the pool, and staff did not step in to stop them even after other guests complained

i stayed in a club double or twin room for two nights. the room included complimentary tea and coffee with biscuits. clean towels and soap were in the bathroom. there was a large bed in the room.
a remote was missing from the room and i had to ask for it.

lovely experience
lovely decoration comfortable beds scenic views
i think the room decoration is lovely, with details i liked. beds felt comfortable for me. the views across the golf course impressed me. i found a safe and a kettle with assorted drink options. the feed in the bars seemed good and reasonably priced.
i found the cleaning to be quite bad, bathrooms in rooms look very poor. the tv wasn't working on two occasions with no hdmi available in house.
