Accommodation

Nubra Ecolodge offers seven Ladakhi Cottages and four Wooden Safari Tents, each with private decks and en suite bathrooms. The well-designed spaces provide views of the snow-capped mountains and the Nubra River. All rooms are equipped with king-sized or twin beds, accommodating an extra bed upon request.

Dining

Guests can enjoy home-cooked local Ladakhi and Indian cuisine, served in a traditional dining area or on an open deck during good weather. The offerings include freshly baked Khambir, whole wheat bread, alongside seasonal vegetables from the lodge's own organic garden. The fixed menu complements the local farming practices, adding authenticity to the dining experience.

Location

The lodge is located in Nubra Valley, where the Shyok and Nubra rivers converge, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes of sand dunes and mountains. This area is a unique cold desert at 10,000 feet, with an intricate ecosystem that nurtures desert wildlife and rare vegetation. Access to the lodge requires a 5 to 6 hours drive from Leh, crossing the dramatic Khardung La pass.

Eco-Friendly Practices

As a family-run ecotourism venture, Nubra Ecolodge engages in sustainable agricultural practices on its 11-acre farm. The lodge grows its own wheat, barley, and a variety of fruits, contributing to self-sufficiency. Guests can experience farming life by participating in garden tours and learning about the local ecology.
