the staff offered genuinely helpful assistance with all requests. i found the breakfast to be excellent, with a wide variety of options provided. the location is central, placing me within easy walking distance of several pubs and shops.

the location was central! it made it easy to access nearby shops. the bar had a great atmosphere and the food service was quick. the staff was helpful in answering questions.
The carpet seemed worn, i thought it needed replacing. the shower pressure fluctuated a lot. This made it difficult to get a consistent temperature. the street noise was audible.

excellent stay with great location

The hotel had a charming older style. the allocated room was large, comfortable, clean, and quiet. breakfast choices included a great selection (especially the freshly baked bread!). parking was available at the back of the hotel. This was very convenient. it gave a cute vibe to see local people coming through for breakfast and coffee.
the music from a nearby pub was slightly audible in my room one night.

the room included ample space with comfortable furnishings and sufficient lighting. the bathroom was clean, with fresh towels provided daily. i found the bed linens to be soft and of good quality.

the hotel's central location allowed easy access to local shops and restaurants. it was convenient to walk to nearby attractions (the local museum was only a short walk away!). public transport was easily accessible from the hotel.

the hotel offered free wifi throughout the premises, and i found it reliable. parking was available behind the hotel at no additional cost. the reception area was well-kept.

The reception staff were helpful. They provided an ireland phone charger. breakfast offered multiple options, and dinner was available in the bar. the hotel has an elevator for accessing upper floors, convenient. i moved my car during the day to avoid getting a ticket.
i found the public town car park was subject to tickets, and i needed to move my car.

the front desk staff displayed friendly service and genuine irish hospitality. the team showed a warm welcome during check-in. staff provided assistance for anything needed . the welcome at reception was fantastic!

the hotel offered live music in the little pub, it had great music! the central location on the high street provided easy access to shops. there are multiple bars and spaces in the building. parking is behind the hotel.

central location friendly receptionist good atmosphere
the hotel is central and easy to access. the receptionist was very friendly and upgraded my room. the pub had a great atmosphere and the food was of good quality.
the bathroom was a bit small.

breakfast was generous ,satisfying and featured excellent options. i enjoyed a long-awaited beamish in the pub one evening , with a seafood chowder ,a real treat as i can't get that back home.

the staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. the receptionist greeted me with a genuine smile , which i found very refreshing ,and they were very responsive when i needed assistance with the bathroom taps.

friendly staff good food dusty room musty smell
The staff were very friendly. The hotel had a lot of history displayed on the walls (i'm a history fan). The food was also quite good. A group played music in the bar one evening.
The room felt dated. It was also quite dusty. The windows and blinds inside were dirty (unfortunately). I noticed a musty smell throughout the building.
