charming hutong stay

warm welcomeexcellent foodlacking soundproofing
i appreciated the warm welcome from the host , they shared helpful information for navigating the area. the interior design blends hip western style with traditional elements beautifully. the on-site restaurants served excellent food , it was a very charmed experience. the location allows for easy exploration of the central area.
the room i was assigned was somewhat different than what i anticipated based on photos online. i found that it lacked proper soundproofing. earplugs were offered , but i would have preferred a quieter room without needing them. the absence of an expected garden view was disappointing.

The breakfast was nice and the location proved very good, as it was close to shops and the train station.
The mattresses were uncomfortable, and the water taps felt loose. The shower water barely ran. My room was just above the kitchen, so I heard people walking and chopping early in the morning! I think there are better options available for comfort.

The staff were friendly and offered just the right amount of service!!! i enjoyed chatting at the front desk and hearing about local life. i offhandedly mentioned the air was dry, and a new humidifier arrived the next day. toast breakfast was delicious. I stayed seven nights and could choose something different each day!!!
i was slightly disappointed that my 'garden room' had only a skylight instead of a window to the garden.

Charming Stay in Historic Hutong!

I found the staff to be super friendly and helpful! They gave great recommendations. The location is really prime, with lots to see and eat just within walking distance. The breakfast was awesome, with Chinese and western options available.
The water tap was a little loose. I didn't mind too much though.

poor water pressureearly morning noise
i found some issues . the shower water barely ran, frustrating after a long day. my room was located just above the kitchen, so i could hear people walking and chopping early in the morning. i think better soundproofing or a different room placement would help.
