The location proved ideal for exploring local landmarks. I found the proximity to the castle and gardens particularly convenient. The onsen facilities were a welcome addition, especially after long days of sightseeing. The hotel included minibar beverages.

adequate stay

the staff were polite and attentive. i was able to communicate in english at the front desk. the hotel is conveniently located close to the castle and the kenrokuen garden. a short nature walking trail leads to that area of the town.
The hotel is very aged. i thought the beds were quite uncomfortable for longer stays (more than one night). the ventilation isn't great. It smelled like food near the front desk.
