Acceptable Stay with Drawbacks
outside noiseminimal compensation
The noise was a problem. Single-pane windows did not block outside sounds adequately. I reported this daily and even moved rooms but the window in the new room also had issues closing. The hotel then began installing double glazing on my departure day. This felt dishonest since I received minimal compensation after asking repeatedly.

lovely touchoutside noiselack of soundproofing
the bar staff was excellent and drinks came with a selection of canapés (a lovely touch).
the windows were one glassed, and did not shut properly. i complained every day about the outside noise. i was met with played interest and astonishment when i complained about noise in the city center. i was disappointed by the lack of soundproofing, considering the price.

location are ideal, near top tourist sites. staff were helpful, particularly breakfast service, were a plus. i appreciated the water provided and the paintings around the hotel are lovely to see. the hotel team was warm.
