I appreciated the castle's character. It is fine. The staff is amiable, helpful, and communicative. The grounds have snippets of information that document the site's history. The peacocks were nice.
The gardens and outdoor furniture showed signs of neglect. The window frames needed a good scrub. There were too many stairs and doors to navigate with luggage.

The location was acceptable. The grounds looked decent.
The room was not clean. There was dust everywhere. The bathroom had a broken flush. The toilet was difficult to use. The peeling paint added to the general sense of neglect, it seemed they did not spend much on maintenance.

The staff were friendly and helpful. the castle grounds and gardens were peaceful. the receptionists were cute, and i found them happy to help with additional requests. i especially enjoyed how they handled my queries. They really were great.
the grounds looked a bit overgrown. no significant effort was to have been put into them. there were some marks on the paint in the interior of the rooms. i saw some mould on the furnishings.

The location was fabulous. It was only a five-minute walk from the town centre. the setting felt peaceful. the building itself was interesting because of its history.

there were many staff members available during meal times, offering prompt service. the receptionists were very cute and friendly. the staff seemed genuinely happy to assist with anything i needed.

i enjoyed exploring the grounds. the rooms were decorated nicely and kept very clean. they were warm, and i found them to have most of what i needed. the spa and hot tub were a delight!!!

the hotel is in beautiful grounds.
i found the breakfast to be quite underwhelming. the hot options were limited (bacon, sausage, fried egg, mushrooms, and tinned tomatoes only). the cereal selection was small, and the same applied to the yoghurt and fruit options (a small selection).
