lackluster stay with some hiccups

late check-in inedible beef
the location proved adequate and met basic expectations for exploring the area.
check-in was a complete disaster. i arrived after a tiring walk wanting a shower, but i was told my room wasn't ready until an hour and a half later, which it really upset me. the compensation offered, a free bottle of wine, was a nice thought, but the roast dinner i had was the worst i've ever had. the beef was inedible and the vegetables were total mush, which resulted in a refund anyway.

friendly staff excellent staff really good breakfast tasty breakfast spacious room comfortable room malfunctioning blind damaged blind hazardous switch defective switch flashing light annoying light
the staff was really nice! the breakfast was fantastic, a proper treat. the room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. the location is great for exploring the surrounding area.
The roman blind at the bedroom window malfunctions. It needs attention. it raises and lowers very lopsidedly. the switch for the bedside light, nearest the window, is in a hazardous condition. the tv had a bright, flashing light in the middle of the night.
