empty dispensers expired cereal
The arrival lacked warmth. i had to find light switches in the dining area. It felt unwelcoming. soap dispensers were empty in the shower, i found no soap at all. breakfast disappointed, sliced cheese, poor ham, expired cereal, a single jam portion, a raw croissant and thankfully some berries. no cooked breakfast was available either.

The location was perfect for exploring. Breakfast choices were extensive. A lovely garden was available . The room included thoughtful extras (even a box of essentials!).

The breakfast each morning was cooked to order. Homemade jam and marmalade were on offer. The quality of produce used was excellent (I particularly enjoyed the Derbyshire breakfast).

The host was very cute and knowledgeable. She printed off directions for local walks. The owner helped with bags upon arrival and departure (a really nice touch).

amazing stay!!!
lovely breakfast home made jam glorious room
i had a good 2-night stay. ziz arranged my chatsworth ticket for me. the breakfast was very nice, and the owner is a very lovely lady who poured her whole heart into the place. i ate lovely home made jam.
i think that the walk back uphill to the hotel from the town centre might be a bit challenging for some.

the breakfast offers plenty of choice, including home made jam and marmalade. the host also gives residents 10% off their meal at the local italian restaurant, viva. i enjoyed that best bacon there!!

my room was beautifully set out, offering a calm, relaxing feel. a complementary box of handy items was in the wardrobe. the room was also spacious, super clean, and very nicely decorated.

the hotel is a short walk from bars and restaurants. it is a 10-minute walk downhill and a 15-minute walk uphill back to the hotel. the lodge is in a quiet location and easy to walk into town.

ziz, the owner, is very friendly and makes an effort to ensure guests have an enjoyable stay. she is full of local knowledge and genuinely interested in guests having a great visit. ziz was very helpful and informative about where to eat and what to do.
