great stay near local amenities
ideal locationlocal shopsdirty bathroom
the location was ideal , as it was away from the busy tourist areas. it was still accessible by foot or bus if i didn't want to walk. i could easily find local shops and restaurants when i wanted to eat.
the bathroom was not clean , as i noticed hairs on the floor and walls. the towels looked worn and needed replacement. it affected my perception of cleanliness .

host neil was very friendly and provided helpful suggestions for local food. he also offered good conversation about scotish culture. i appreciated his responsiveness when i asked for an iron and extra tea.

there were many local pubs and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. this allowed me to easily explore the local cuisine. i appreciated having these dining options so close by.

the hotel has bus stops very close. this made it simple to access the city center. a grocery shop right across the street offered convenience. it was nice to have a cozy , quiet place.

tiny sinkstained walls
the sink in the small single room private external bathroom was really tiny. it felt difficult to even wash my face without splashing water everywhere. i also noticed that the walls could use a fresh coat of paint because there were some stains on it. i think the room just needed a bit more care to feel clean and fresh. the stay would be a little bit better then.
