St George Inn sits one block from the Gulf of Mexico and one block from Apalachicola Bay. The property is centrally located on St George Island, next to the historic lighthouse and within walking distance of restaurants and a small grocery store. Nearest airports are Tallahassee at 75 miles (1.5 hours) and Panama City at 96 miles (2 hours).

The inn has three floors of rooms, all accessed by stairs - there is no elevator.

Every room at St George Inn is dog-friendly for a fee of $25 per night per pet. Guests receive a physical key to their room, which must be returned to the front desk if leaving before 8:00 AM. The front desk is staffed daily from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
