thorough explanation comfortable bed great shower good selection
i received a thorough explanation about the guest house from dave upon arrival. the room was clean, with a comfortable bed and a great shower. there was a good selection for breakfast, i appreciated the freshly cooked poached eggs. parking was on the street, i found spaces without issue.

mixed feelings about my stay
dry eggs limited breakfast
The breakfast choices felt limited since we had to decide the night before (seemed a bit old-fashioned). breakfast itself was underwhelming. The scrambled eggs were dry, and the sausages were overcooked. it also seemed like they skimped on the little things. i missed the warmth that usually makes a guest house feel cute.

pre-ordered breakfast rubbery eggs
I wasn't thrilled about pre-ordering breakfast. it felt a bit like being back in school. the scrambled eggs were rubbery. I suspect they were not freshly made. the sausages seemed a tad overcooked, almost like they had been sitting under a warmer for far too long. also, the lack of unsweetened yogurt was a letdown.

The location was ideal for walking to nearby attractions. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I found nice touches in the room, including bottled water. The breakfast was delicious and provided many options.

posh bedroom comfortable bed
The staff gave me very helpful explanations of how breakfast worked. They took me to my room and exceeded my expectations for my partner's birthday surprise. The bedrooms were very posh, tidy, and clean with good bedding. The bed and pillows gave me two good night sleeps.
