Charming Stay in a Historic Setting

peaceful locationhelpful hostbeautiful gardensnarrow entrance
I found the location perfect, it was peaceful (felt miles away from everything). The host was very helpful and accommodating, she made tea and cake for us. The gardens were beautiful, there was a fine sea view.
The entrance to the drive is narrow. I was concerned about scraping the car between the two stone pillars.
Facilities
9/10
The house features a beautiful garden with amazing views as far as the coast. Free parking is available and the guest house has interesting history. There are pretty local walks that start right at the front door.
Dining
10/10
The breakfast included fresh fruit salad with six different fruits. Homemade cake and yoghurts were also available. I found the option of smoked salmon and scrambled eggs especially good.
Service
10/10
The staff was very cute and helpful . The lady staff was good. They made sure everything was perfect for us.
Location
9/10
The location is in a conservation area. The house is a short, ten-minute walk into the centre. I saw a good range of pubs and restaurants there.

an okay experience

fruit cerealquiet locationcold waterpoor towel
breakfast had a good selection of fruit cereals and warm croissants. the location was quiet and only a short walk from the town centre.
The cold water tap in the bath did not work. Chocolate drinks were two years out of date. the towels felt of poor quality. There were also clothes left in the wardrobe.

The driveway entrance is quite narrow. I almost scraped the car on the stone pillars. The room felt overcrowded. Too much stuff cluttered the space (not exactly minimalist, you know?).
