Magical stay by the river!

delicious treats viaduct view fresh flowers soft dressing gowns
This cottage is AMAZING!!! I stayed for 3 nights. The room included treats like biscuits, tea, coffee, chocolate, and marshmallows. The viaduct view from the window was lovely at night. The room included dressing gowns. Fresh flowers were a lovely touch!
I did notice the staircase below reduced usable space. I just made sure i watched my head near the low ceiling.
Facilities
9/10
Downstairs, a seating area provided space for reading and wine. The black mulberry, situated about a minute's walk away, offered breakfast at a reasonable price, a discount was available when you mention you stayed at the cottage.
Rooms
10/10
The room had a very comfortable bed and amazing pillows. The bathroom contained shower and shampoo gel, cotton buds, and cotton pads. Sanitary bags were even provided in the drawer. A light hairdryer was easy to use and dried hair quickly.
Service

Mike, the host, was very friendly and offered tips about dining. The housekeeping staff were friendly and accommodating. The cottage was decorated with personal touches and many things to look at. I felt very welcome.

Acceptable Stay, but Some Issues

door mechanism small room
The room was clean, and the location allowed easy access to attractions.
The outside door mechanism needed fixing, it felt unsafe. The double bed was against the wall. This made getting in and out difficult. The room was small, it was overcrowded with furniture.

Charming Stay

delicious treats lovely viaduct fresh flowers
This place is so wonderful! I stayed for three nights. The room had lots of treats like biscuits, tea, coffee, and chocolate with marshmallows. The view from the window was of the viaduct and i found it lovely, especially when illuminated at night. The room even featured fresh flowers, which i found to be a charming touch.
The narrow road to navigate by car was busy with tourists. I had some stress trying to fit my car into the available parking space.
Dining
9/10
A lovely continental breakfast featured a great fruit selection. The Black Mulberry is just a minute's walk away and gives a discount if you say you are staying at the hotel (great!).
Rooms
9/10
The room i stayed in was clean. It included a hairdryer, light in weight but great to use. The bathroom provided shower and shampoo gel, cotton buds and cotton pads (thoughtful!).
Facilities
9/10
A lovely seating area downstairs allowed a great spot to read and have a glass of wine. I appreciated the outdoor deck for morning coffee. Parking at the side of the hotel was very convenient.
Location
10/10
The location is ideal for exploring the waterfront. It is also perfect for visiting the cave, castle, and town centre. Harrogate is easily accessible by train for £6.20 for two round trip tickets.

lovely view beautiful terrace really good breakfast squeaky floorboards small sofa area misleading advert
the room had a lovely view. the terrace was beautiful, i found it very relaxing. breakfast was fantastic, there was plenty of choice.
the floor boards were ridiculously squeaky. the sofa area is basically a corridor! the advert is misleading, it's advertised as a cottage, but it is just a room in a guest house.
