adequate stay with some frustrations
clean roomfood restrictionlimited wi-fi
the room was clean and the bed was comfortable , which i did appreciate.
i found it very frustrating that outside food wasn't allowed in the rooms , and i was trying to relax. there was no indication of that restriction prior to arrival. also , the wi-fi was only available downstairs , not in my room , , made it difficult to work. it was far from ideal and affected my overall experience.

a grand victorian experience
secure car parkspacious room
my room was close to the secure car park, which gave me peace of mind. i enjoyed the short walk to villa park for the match. the room was spacious enough for a family.

I found the staff VERY friendly and accommodating. Rooms ARE gorgeous. Breakfast tasted great. It had nice touches in the rooms .

The breakfast offered orange juice, Weetabix cereal, and butter. It was perfectly cooked to order with continental choices also available. Mackenzie provided paper bags, this enabled guests to take a pastry.

The room was beautiful and thoughtfully done. It included bath robes, slippers, and Clarins products. It was spacious and comfortable for my family. The hotel seems very well maintained.
