The staff were very nice. I appreciated that. breakfast was really nice. I would definitely come back. the shower was great and i found the location perfect, right in the centre.
the tv in my room did not work, i reported it but it wasn't dealt with.
our room was lovely and a very pleasant place to stay. the village is a real gem. the surrounding areas were lovely and easy to get into edinburgh by public transport
the outside street light was shining in the room making it impossible to sleep. the lightweight venetian blind was inadequate in darkening the room. the door lock was hanging off the door

slow breakfaststreet noise
The breakfast service was slow. there was no self-service option available. All orders were placed with staff. I missed having fresh fruits. also, the room lacked adequate soundproofing, and street noise was noticeable late into the night, which affected my sleep. it was really annoying

Really good Stay, Comfort, Cuisine, and Courteous Service

The room offered coffee pods. The bathroom included a bath and a separate shower. I found the breakfast plentiful and cooked to order. An evening meal tasted top quality. The menu had a slightly limited selection, yet everything was cooked to order and provided in ample portions.
I noted no private car park. The location can get noisy at night. On Thursday night, staff turned up the music. Loud thumping music played from below for two hours.
