A Mixed Bag of Experiences

friendly staffstreet noiseexpensive breakfast
The staff at the hotel was friendly enough.
I booked a room with the expectation of a quiet night, but the noise from the street was bothersome. People smoking right outside the bar door created a strong smoke smell in my room. I found this unpleasant. The continental breakfast did not seem worth the price, especially given the room rate.

Charming Stay

friendly localsexcellent foodlimited breakfast
This place is fabulous. The locals at the pub were very friendly. I enjoyed talking with them. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. I especially liked the dinner menu. I was charmed by their service.
The continental breakfast offered a limited range of options. I would have preferred a cooked breakfast. This is my personal preference though, and it shouldn't detract from the overall quality of the stay.
Rooms
8/10
The double room included a private bathroom. The room was basic, though comfortable. The cleanliness was amazing. The room also offered a good level of comfort.
Facilities

The continental breakfast offered a good range of options each day. The hotel restaurant provided good food at a reasonable price. I found the dinner menu to be particularly tasty. It was superb.

quaint village stay

friendly stafftasty dinnergood rangeshort curtain
staff was very friendly. i booked a single ensuite room for work. it was basic. dinner in the hotel was tasty. breakfast offered a good range of options. service i received was friendly.
the shower curtain in the bath was too short and let water escape onto the bathroom floor. floor boards creaked loudly. i felt i had to creep about to avoid waking other guests. welcome on arrival could have been more pleasant.

The staff was very friendly. They were sociable at the bar downstairs.
The food quality was disappointing, though. I ordered the turkey dinner, and the mash was cold. Some vegetables were burnt and overcooked. This was unexpected
