I loved the beautiful bedroom! Some staff were helpful and polite. I especially liked the lady who helped me with extra shampoo and coffee. The meal was delicious. the bar was very good value!
Oh dear, a double room only had one chair. A shelf thing on ropes obscured power sockets and light switches. The kettle dripped boiling water when making tea though the room was otherwise nice.

Acceptable Lodges Stay

tea facilitycoffee facilitybirdsong soundnice showerheating issuehot roompoor shutterblocked lightshort curtainglazed door
The room included tea and coffee making facilities. I woke up to the sound of birdsong. The shower was nice (I enjoyed it a lot!).
The heating did not work properly, so the room was very hot. Shutters did not block the light well enough. A half-glazed back door was only covered halfway by a curtain.

Acceptable but flawed stay

The room was spacious and clean upon arrival, which I appreciated.
The bathroom had a really bad damp smell. It smelled of sewage. This made the room unpleasant despite other nice aspects.

Mixed feelings about my stay

inadequate toiletriesunreplaced milk
I found some aspects disappointing. The bathroom lacked space for toiletries. only one glass was provided for two people, and the single small shower gel was not replaced . The towels were not changed daily, and milk sachets were not replenished daily, which detracted from the overall comfort.

Decent Stay near the Coast

bright roomspacious groundsmissing fridgeheavy duvet
The room was bright and spacious. I found the grounds beautiful, maintained in a clean and tidy state. Parking was easy. I also liked breakfast in the pub. The staff was very friendly.
My room needed a fridge, but there was only an empty wooden frame (it appears a fridge had been there previously). The duvet was quite heavy, and there was no lighter alternative. I would have liked a bedside unit next to the bed.
