Wonderful stay with good touches
warm welcome fresh sandwiches
The welcome was professional and warm. Nothing seemed like too much trouble. I needed to leave early one morning (before breakfast service). The staff kindly provided fresh BLT sandwiches, bottled water, biscuits, crisps, and fruit for my journey. The room was large and very clean, which i noticed immediately.
The tv remote had limited functionality. I could not easily change channels. I think a fully functional remote would greatly enhance the guest experience. It's a minor issue, but attention to detail matters.

I ate in the restaurant, and the food was excellent and clearly home-cooked. Fresh orange juice was provided at breakfast along with a lovely pot of tea. The breakfast option I chose was cooked perfectly and very tasty.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The team takes pride in its offering, and i could tell. I was impressed with their attentiveness and willingness to accommodate my needs.

The room was large and included a very comfortable bed. Everything in the room was spotlessly clean, which i appreciated. My room was at the back of the building and overlooked the moors (wow!).

helpful staff dog facilities food price additional charge
The staff were very helpful. Nothing proved too much trouble. The facilities for dogs impressed me. A field offered a play area plus there was a hose to clean the pup upon our return.
The food did not seem that great, especially considering the price. My wife wanted a salad garnish instead of peas, and unbelievably, they wanted an additional charge.

mediocre visit
inoperative thermostat breakfast service
the room was too warm the thermostat did not work. also the breakfast service felt unaccommodating. i requested wholemeal bread but the waitress seemed unwilling to assist and stated it was not available. this issue detracted from the overall experience

Staff were friendly and welcomed our dog. Food was excellent. The pie was amazing. Breakfast had a great selection of choices.
