The owners were kind and helpful. This met my expectations.
The absence of a door on the en-suite bathroom created an unexpected lack of privacy. I found this unacceptable. the noise from the nearby road was more noticeable than anticipated, disrupting sleep. the promised blackout curtains were insufficient, letting in too much light at dawn.

A spotty stay
missing doorcarpet stains
The room had no door to the en-suite bathroom I thought that was just strange. It really limits privacy for a solo traveler, doesn't it? I noticed some stains on the carpet I do hope they clean regularly.

My stay began with a warm welcome. I received coffee and cake upon arrival, lovely. My room was clean. The breakfast was AMAZING!!!
I noticed my en-suite bathroom did NOT have a door. I found it odd.

The breakfast was lovely. There were vegetarian options for me. Alan kept me informed about arrival arrangements (that was nice). He served breakfast early so I could get an early start.
There was no door to the en-suite bathroom. I found this a bit odd. The location is a little far from the main attractions. I had to drive a short distance to reach the village.

The breakfast featured locally produced food. The full english fry up was amazing!!! the owners were lovely and made me a pot of tea on arrival. i also had a piece of homemade apple cake. It was delicious.
