so the bar closed early before 9.30 pm that was a surprise i thought i might enjoy a nightcap but no such luck i had to navigate a dark doorway it was a bit like a secret mission also paying extra for a cooked breakfast seemed a bit cheeky maybe they thought i wouldn't notice

I booked a single night online. I found the bar closed before 9:30 PM. I had to enter through a dark, unlit doorway. The pub was also dark. Paying extra for a cooked breakfast surprised me, too.

the staff extended a warm welcome to both me and my dog. the food tasted quite good. the option of breakfast bags provided a great touch, with fruit, pastries, and juice available each morning before my early departure. the pub had a lovely atmosphere.
I found the bar closed earlier than expected. Accessing the premises through an unlit doorway felt a bit inconvenient.
