The breakfast offered a great selection. I appreciated the comfortable bed in the King Room. The staff were friendly and helpful ..
My room faced the front of the building and I noticed scaffolding obstructed the view. There was a musty smell upon entering my room. Loud music from a nearby bar continued until after midnight ONE night.

excellent hotel
friendly staff spacious room good breakfast
the staff were very friendly upon arrival! the pub had a nice atmosphere. the twin room was spacious with nice decor. the beds were comfortable and i had a good night's sleep. the breakfast offered a decent choice, and the service was friendly again.
The bathroom radiator got very hot. Extra caution was needed

the hotel is centrally located, close to shops and restaurants. a co-op is next door and a tesco express with a cash machine is a short walk away! the hotel is easily accessible from the airport

tired decoration missing clasp
the breakfast was acceptable and had a good selection.
the room's decoration looked tired. the window lacked a closing clasp, impacting security because it opened onto a fire escape. i felt uneasy about this.

adequated stay for a quick trip
king-size bed spacious room large window out of date food musty smell unattentive staff
i stayed in a king room, and it were pretty spacious. there was a king-size bed, it were super comfy. the room also had large windows with view on the castle.
the breakfast weren't the greatest, serving out of date food. the room i stayed in had a strange musty smell, i suspect damp may be the issue. younger staff weren't that attentive, they just didn't make eye contact.

fresh food inventive food excellent value friendly staff
I had a bbq burger and chips. It tasted really fresh. The food presentation impressed me. i saw the breakfast included was excellent value. All of the staff were very friendly.
I noticed very slight noise from a nearby bar one night, but I should have requested a different location in the hotel for a quieter stay.

small room security hazard
The hotel provided a location that I found satisfactory and a lively atmosphere.
My room was quite small. The window did not have a closing clasp, therefore it did not provide adequate security. My window opened onto a fire escape. A safety hazard.
