Good stay with minor issues

The location was great it was only minutes from the beach. Two good pubs were also within walking distance which was nice. Staff were friendly I found and they cooked a really nice breakfast. I appreciated this a lot it started my day well.
The room I stayed in had some issues with flies there were many of them. I found dead flies on the floor and live ones buzzing around. I even woke up to dead flies in my bed it really bothered me. This issue detracted from my stay.

the location was acceptable. it was close to a beach.
the room was not what i expected. the decor felt old, like i was visiting an elderly aunt's house. the bath products seemed like leftover bits from random bottles, and they were not labeled. the bed linen wasn't of the quality you might expect.

the location is convenient. i could walk to the excellent beach. The breakfast was delicious. the croissants were some of the best i HAVE ever tasted.
the room was freezing cold. the room is large and has single glazed windows. The owner had turned down the thermostat to 15 degrees on a very cold night. i tried contacting the owners after my stay but got no response.
