i found ample parking in a quiet area. the bar had a cozy atmosphere and a separate dining area where i could bring my dog. the staff were dog friendly and the hotel provided a spacious grassed area.
the room's lighting was not optimal.

the restaurant was acceptable with good fish served during dinner.
ground floor rooms had a metal gate outside the window it was opened and closed at all hours. the towels were damp upon arrival i put them on the towel rail to dry but it didn't help. this affected my stay negatively

the staff provided so many recommendations for local attractions during breakfast (what a lovely touch!). the dinner portions were generous and the bar area was lively. i found the bedroom spacious and the beds comfortable. the service throughout the hotel was really excellent.
the kettle lid was broken (a minor inconvenience).

the room was spacious and very clean. i found the size of the room excellent for my needs. breakfast was great and so was the evening meal i had.
the toilet seat was a little loose.

The breakfast was substantial I found it quite satisfactory
The headboard pins in my room were loose I saw a broken piece of furniture too. The wall light lacked a shade the bathroom door could not be locked. The sink was cracked and the tiles needed cleaning I found the decaying salad unacceptable

the breakfast was excellent. the dinner menu also has a lot of options. the rooms are huge and offer plenty of space.
the light over the bathroom mirror didn't work. it's a very small thing though.

the gluten free options at the restaurant were a surprise, the service was speedy. the bed was quite comfortable, and there weren't too many pillows, just right for me. the interior was also very clean and tidy, which i always appreciate.
my room had a view of a not-so-pretty backyard.
