lovely getaway
warm welcomespacious bedroomtasty food
the staff offered a very warm welcome. the bedroom featured a spacious design and was clean. i appreciated the simple but tasty food available. access to the south downs was very easy.
the location is down a single track lane.

Leaving before breakfast was a bummer, the bacon smelled heavenly. i was surprised the location was down a single track lane! the evening meal was excellent. I ate every bite. the room had thoughtful touches, like milk in the fridge and even dog treats for our k9 friends. So considerate.

the hotel featured a beautifully landscaped garden where i relaxed! the on-site restaurant offered great meals, and there were walking trails accessible directly from the doorstep, which i fully took advantage of.

the room was clean with attention to details, so that was ACCEPTABLE.
the breakfast choices sounded nice, but the cooked breakfasts took too long. i had to wait almost thirty minutes for SOME food. this delay was not great before heading out for the day.

staff were friendly. breakfast included a wide choice and it was good quality. the room provided a generous size and it was very comfortable including some nice extra touches. value for money was good even with the slightly remote location.
