excellent stay at the inn!

excellent foodexcellent stafftired decoration
the staff were really nice arranging taxis before we even got there, wow! everyone raved about the food, though we missed dinner due to a family event. breakfast the next morning was great.
the online photos did not quite reflect the current condition , and honestly, the place needs some serious redecorating, especially the bathrooms.
Dining
9/10
The breakfast features top-quality ingredients cooked to order , with service exceeding expectations. the restaurant receives high praise for its offerings, exceeding typical pub fare, while maintaining very friendly, attentive service.
Facilities

Free parking is available. caution is advised if parking under trees, as birds are quite active there, but the staff provided assistance when needed. the location provided easy access to nearby attractions without excessive travel.
Rooms
9/10
The room provided all necessary amenities for a comfortable stay , while it remained impressively quiet, despite its location above the pub. Nevertheless, it requires an immediate update to match guest expectations.

Acceptable but Underwhelming Stay

good breakfastcramped bathroomold furnishings
The breakfast was really good. There were plenty of choices.
Our room felt quite small and the bathroom was cramped. The furnishings looked old and needed to be updated, especially as the listing suggested a higher standard. We did not know the restaurant was closed on Sunday.

Excellent Food and Friendly Service

fresh breakfastlovely dinnerefficient service
I found the breakfast very good. It was all freshly made and offered good choices. We had a lovely dinner in the restaurant as well, with plenty of choices on the menu. The staff were friendly and efficient throughout my stay, a great experience.
The carpet leading to the bedroom had a horrible stain. I noticed the owners need to address this.
Facilities
9/10
The bar has a good selection of beers. It also has an excellent selection of wines, all available by the glass at reasonable prices. The restaurant offers well-spaced seating, a plus for private conversations, especially useful!
Service
10/10
On arrival, I met very friendly and helpful staff. This was true both at reception and in the bar. The restaurant service was very good. It was also quite friendly. The staff worked hard to accommodate all the guests.
