Adequate Stay near the City Centre

city centregood breakfastdusty roomuncarpeted floor
The location is convenient. I found it easy to walk to the city centre from the hotel. The breakfast was also satisfactory. It provided a good start to the day before exploring the area.
The room I occupied looked to have some dust present. This detracted somewhat from the overall impression. The uncarpeted floors allowed sound to travel easily. This made restful sleep more challenging.

historic building with great access

i believe the building dates back to 1785, according to the owner. it apparently has operated as a pub or roadhouse ever since (amazing!). we were very close to the city wall, as the location allowed for easy walks into town. the available free parking was a real plus.
i did notice a screw sticking out where the wardrobe knob should have been.

It removed all stress related to finding a space. i found the breakfast really good, with freshly cooked options and great coffee, just perfect to start the day. the location was also a highlight because it allowed easy access to local shops and transport links. the staff was cute, my cases transported to the room!
the shower was electric, and i wasn't initially informed the power switch was outside the bathroom.

mixed feelings about this stay

terrible water pressuresteep room rate
The shower's water pressure was terrible. Practically nonexistent. the tap on the basin wobbled quite a bit too. i couldn't seem to adjust the radiator temperature in the room, and that was annoying! i thought the room rate was a bit steep for what i got. Honestly, it felt overpriced.
