really good stay near the ferry port

24 hour access generous portion underfloor heating
the rooms are semi detached lodges behind the pub carpark, a feature i appreciated as it allowed 24 hour access. i found underfloor heating, and a fan was available, which i used. i enjoyed the cooked breakfast with poached eggs and smoked salmon, especially the generous portion of salmon.
Rooms
9/10
the room provided a bath equipped with a rain shower and seemed to have continuous hot water, and i considered this a notable benefit. the room seemed well maintained and modern.
Location
9/10
the hotel is approximately 15 minutes from the ferry port, convenient for travel to and from the continent. the surrounding countryside seemed scenic, offering a tranquil backdrop to my stay.
Dining
10/10
the pub served first class meals. i found a menu with good choices. the breakfast was excellent, and i found the dining area to be comfortable and clean.

i was disappoint. The room felt smaller than i EXPECTED. there was a constant humming noise outside All night, i think it was a compressor. The bed was also quite narrow for two people. It did affect my sleep.
