i booked a dinner, b&b package expecting to eat from the set menu. the room was dusty and had cobwebs. the pillows seemed like really poor quality.

I found the room cosy with thoughtful extra touches like robes and slippers. The welcome from the hotel manager was warm and genuine. I also greatly appreciated the friendliness and helpfulness of the evening waiters and the breakfast staff. I would definitely return for another peaceful break away.
During checkout, I noted that there was no directory in the room to tell you check out times.

i enjoyed the fantastic food at the restaurant. staff were helpful, showing care and attention. the rooms were fine.
The loud wooden floors made it easy to hear neighboring guests walking. It was a bit disconcerting.

the room size was good and the decor was great. i appreciated the deep bath and shower. the location felt lovely and quiet. the staff were friendly and helpful .
the continental breakfast was limited. i think having cooked options like eggs and beans with toast would improve it. i found the wine choices to be expensive. a glass of wine at the bar cost £10.20.
