the host, harold, was very cute. breakfast was lovely and included fresh raspberries directly from the garden. the room was large and clean (i liked the decor).
i found there were no hot water facilities in the room, going downstairs to make a cup of tea. this climb was difficult, since i have some leg problems.

adequate stay overall

warm bathroomcomfortable bedshared facilityrude lady
the room was very clean I think, and warm too. A large bed offered plenty of comfort. The bathroom was also warm I noticed and the floor had heating.
the ad said coffee and tea was IN the room but it wasn't. It was downstairs I believe in a shared facility you know. a rude lady said she didn't know we was staying and couldn't make a cooked breakfast. It reminded me of an inconvenience to her I think, and I had to ask her what we could eat.

A mixed stay overall

shared facilitylacking instructions
I found that tea and coffee were not available in the room as advertised. Instead, i had to go downstairs to a shared facility, which wasn't ideal (especially first thing in the morning). there also were no instructions provided, so it was a bit confusing at first. the staff member i encountered at breakfast seemed unaware of my reservation, so the experience wasn't as smooth as it could have been.

Really good Stay, Superb Experience!

friendly hostfresh raspberriesgorgeous gardentennis court
The host was genuinely friendly and accommodating. I enjoyed a lovely breakfast with fresh raspberries that I picked from the garden. The house has gorgeous gardens that provided a relaxing environment. I found a tennis court that I took full advantage of!
The absence of a television in the room was slightly disappointing, though volume control options are available if it were present. I got used to not having it soon though.
